Kensington Lakes Airpark Bundaberg Australia light plane real estate queensland central bargara coast beach

What is an Airpark?

A residential airpark is a runway (either private or part of an airport) with houses adjacent to it where residents can hangar their own plane at their house then taxi directly to the runway for takeoff. The reasons for living on or adjacent to an airport are diverse. Consequently there are a wide range of airpark characteristics.

There are probably a couple of key motivations for choosing to live in an airpark or choosing a particular airpark and these include — sharing a common interest with like minded people; the ready availability of aviation infrastructure; the high level of security and convenience able to be provided; and because a well designed airpark is likely to be a good real estate investment as supply is limited and difficult to augment in the short term.

A specific reason for choosing to live at the Kensington Lakes for both the flyer and the non flyer is that it will be developed as a green, cool, and high amenity residential address; within 5 minutes drive (or a cycle) to all the recreational, cultural, business and sporting facilities a city servicing 90,000 people can provide. In addition Kensington Lakes is located just 15 kilometers from the famous Coral Coast beaches, and a short flight/boat ride to the barrier reef and Lady Elliott, Lady Musgrave and Fraser Islands.
