What is an Airpark?
A residential airpark is a runway (either private or part of an airport) with houses adjacent to it where residents can hangar their own plane at their house then taxi directly to the runway for takeoff. The reasons for living on or adjacent to an airport are diverse. Consequently there are a wide range of airpark characteristics.
There are probably a couple of key motivations for choosing to live in an airpark or choosing a particular airpark and these include — sharing a common interest with like minded people; the ready availability of aviation infrastructure; the high level of security and convenience able to be provided; and because a well designed airpark is likely to be a good real estate investment as supply is limited and difficult to augment in the short term.
