In mid-October 2006 Bundaberg City Council appointed the architectural firm Sanders Turner Ellick to design a new passenger terminal for the Airport. It is estimated that a new terminal and associated facilities will cost in order of $11 Million dollars. The new terminal is in the early stages of development and is expected to be completed by 2010.
